Serge. . . Serge . . . Wake up, Serge . . .

What you wake to is your beautiful home. Welcome to Arni Village, the fishing town of the... whatever direction this town is in. Anyway, you automatically get up and pull up the blinds. If you check the status menu, you'll notice that you've become a LOT weaker, much resembling the status of Fei at the beginning of Xenogears.

Check your bed to find 200G (Hurrah!), and then check around the left side of the room to grab a Tablet. If you'd like, you can close and reopen the blinds just by pressing action at them. Go downstairs and talk to dear old Mom. Now leave to explore the rest of the town.

First off, head directly right from your house. On the right side, you'll see two houses. Go into the north house and down to the basement. Talk to the guy here to get the Shark's Tooth Pendant, the key to getting a certain character very soon. DO THIS! I missed it the first time and kicked myself the rest of the game.

At the bottom of the town, you'll se a woman in red and pink. Talk to her. She's the merchant. You can use equipment items to create various pieces of equipment here, or purchase Elements, the key to spellcasting. If an Element has an x1 on it, it means it's a consumable Element. The others aren't.

Go into the lower house on the right side. Go into the door at the back of the restaurant (but notice the poster in the main part of Miki (Dynamite Dancer Miki!)). In the big chest is an accessory. Check on the left side of the bed to get a Heckran Bone, which you can soon use.

Leave the restaurant and go to the bottom left, towards the flopping fish. Talk to the big guy at the gate and pick the second option for a nice Kodomo Scales Scale (Key Item). Then, enter the gate. Now you'll be in an open field with four old guys, and a young girl with her pink dog behind them. You can recruit the dog by offering her the Heckran Bone.

Character: Poshul. Recruiting Pushul will give you a slight physical edge if It's your first time through, but you can wait and get her, and another character soon. She's not that good as it is anyway.

Talk to the bald old guy with a white shirt and blue pants. His name is Radius, and he's the mayor of these parts. He'll treat you to a nice tutorial battle, but chances are he'll kick your sorry butt back to school. He revives you at the end. I have managed to beat him, but he only admits defeat and then congratulates you.

The house on the left is just the typical Square RPG "Beginner's Room". Take a look around to get information on the game. After you're done exploring, head to the first mission in the game.
