Over the years I've reported and reviewed on many games. Some were unique, some were bizarre, some were merely adequate. Every time there's a feature going around, I contribute something about a game no one else has ever heard of, but what I want to know is, what does everyone else want to play? That's the question I asked of the rest of the RPGamer staff, and the answers were as varied as we are.
The rules on this one are simple. First, the game itself cannot have left Japan in any form. Second, this does not include the overseas release of prequels/sequels in a series, or cases where a tie-in was somehow released in English (but not the game), so left-out titles are also acceptable. Third, none of the games can be released within the last two years, be yet to release, or otherwise be in a situation where localization is still a reasonable possibility. We've had some real surprises recently (seriously, Romancing SaGa 2?), but I think it's safe to say that every game mentioned today is very unlikely to leave Japan.
Of course, everyone else is invited to chime in with their own personal favorites. There are far too many great games to pine for.
