I tried to recreate the party Ioka Village throws for the party when they arrive at 65,000,000 B.C. Marle is dancing with the locals to the prehistoric beat, Crono and Ayla are about to participate in their drinking game, Kino's jealous of all the attention Crono's getting and stole the gatekey from Lucca, who drank so much Robo must keep her from falling.

I like to think this is Crono stepping aside from the others while in the Terra Cave, right before heading up to Mt. Woe, reflecting upon this journey he finds himself part of. I think Crono is resolved to his fate, the fate of having the responsibility of the future borne upon him and everyone. I wanted it to be a somewhat cold image, to reflect his isolation from the others, and have Zeal hanging menacingly in the background.
