Final Fantasy 6 is an old favorite in my household. We played it back when it was known as Final Fantasy 3 in the USA and we still love it!

I feel like I have to write a miniature novel to explain this. Spoilers ahoy!
We don't see much of Clyde's life, but it's full of tragedy. His tragic flaw cowardice. It's what causes him to leave his friend Baram to an uncertain fate, abandon his wife and child, and turns him into a masked, heartless killer. And, when he finally can't run from his past anymore, it's what ultimately leads to his death (whether this occurs at the Floating Continent or at Kefka's tower during the ending). For the purposes of this topic, I chose the point when he left his family as the center of all this tragedy. I think that's when he (figuratively) donned his mask for the first time, killed his emotions for good, and became Shadow.

This is a Final Fantasy VI rendition of the final scene in Les Miserables. This scene would take place at the point in the game where Celes and Cid are on an island together at the beginning of the World of Ruin. At this point, Celes mourns the death of General Leo, and believes that Terra and Locke are also dead.

This is a work from almost 2 years back, but I love the composition and how their faces turned out. I figured I needed to post at least one more FF6 fan work with Terra where she's happy.
