Xbox 360

After a long wait for some gamers, Microsoft recently unveiled their much-anticipated second gaming console named the Xbox 360. The second system from the PC powerhouse boasts a very powerful spec setup.

The Xbox 360 will hold three symmetrical IBM cores at 3.2 GHz each with two hardware threads per core; six threads overall. In all, the Xbox 360 will boast three 3.2 GHz processors for the player's games.

Additionally the 360 will play host to a 500 MHz graphics processor with 10 MB embeded DRAM. The RAM for the system will reach 512 MB of GDDR RAM memory. There will be 1 teraflop of systemm performance.

All games supported will be run in high-definition at 16:9, 720p, 1080i; anti-aliased. Standard definition and high definition will both be supported on the Xbox 360.

Those that purchase the Xbox 360 will be given free out-of-the-box access to Xbox Live, the online playing system for the Xbox. The system will also allow gamers to stream media from a portable disc device, cameras, and Windows XP computers.

Finally, the XBox will have support for DVD Video, DVD-ROMs, DVD+R/RW both, DVD-R/RW, CDDA, CD-ROMs, CD-R, CD-RW, Windows Media CDs, MP3 Cds, and JPG photo CDs.
