Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide Impressions
Neverwinter Nights

While BioWare didn't actually have a public booth available to display its games, it did have a press room for media access to its titles. RPGamer had an exclusive meeting with the company where we got to see Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide up close. The game is very near release, so the demo we saw was complete and fully functional.

Graphically, the title is untouched, but there are several new tile sets, such as winter, desert and many new interior looks. The gameplay remains intact, except with a few tweaks. Some items have been modified to fit with Shadows of Undrentide's new play style. Also, players have a whole slew of new feats to choose from, and your character can eventually take on a prestige class, straight from the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting. The play style in Shadows of Undrentide is more closely focused on multiplayer cooperativity, and several puzzles are built around this concept. In traditional role-playing fashion, players must use both their weapons and wits to successfully complete the game.

Look forward to Shadows of Undrentide next June, when it will be released for the PC.
