Any visit to the Capcom booth warranted at least a small look at Mega Man Battle
Network 3 (MMBN). Surprisingly enough for me, this is the first time I've ever touched a
game from the MMBN series, so is the third installment in the series capable of
drawing in a new player like myself?
I quite enjoyed the game's battle system. Combat is in real time, with two sides of
the screen, one for Mega Man, one for enemies. At any time, Mega Man can use his buster
cannon for very light damage against an enemy. However, a meter is charging up while
this is happenning, and when full you're able to select a series of special battle
chips which will give you more powerful abilities. Once those skills are used the
meter charges itself up again.
To conclude, Mega Man Battle Network 3 was awesome. It was hard to have to stop playing,
but only because I had to type up this impression for you. Consider that this continuation
of the series gets a thumbs up from me, and that I'm also interested in the previous games now.
