Final Fantasy Tactics Advance Impression
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance has a legacy of unprecedented tactical RPG innovation to live up to. From what little time I was actually able to play it without having the lines backed up into the aisle, it appears to do just that.

The gameplay is very smooth and appears to address a number of issues most people had with the first title. For example, roaming the camera across the battlefield no longer entails deselecting your active character. Gameplay aside, the sound effects and graphics are extremely crisp and colorful, especially considering the platform. Veteran players might not be dismayed at the lack of a Daravonese-styled tutorial system, as it has rightly been replaced by an actually in-game explanation for most basic gameplay functions.

If the game remains on track in its current state, the Game Boy Advance role-playing community will have a wonderful time utilizing their gamelink cables for something other than Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.
