Sam "Team Kazuma" Marchello
TEAM KAZUMA FTW!

'About three things I was extremely positive about. First, Kazuma Kiryu was, in fact, a gangster. Second, there was a part of him that dominated every inch of him that thirsted for my beauty and knowledge. And third, I had the absolute hots for him.'

I'm not sure at first what drew me to Kazuma Kiryu. Perhaps it was the way his eyes gleamed under the Kamurocho city lamps, or maybe it was the way he swayed as he walked from restaurants to Stardust Night Club. The man was decked out in Armani from head to toe, and he walked with such dignity, that as I stood at the corner of Taihei Boulevard, I couldn't take my eyes off him. This man was unlike anyone I have ever met before.

It was standing on Taihei Boulevard where we met under horrific circumstances. Being new to Kamurocho I was searching for the Stardust Night Club on my newly acquired map. Foolishly, I hadn't noticed until I was attacked from behind that I had attracted the likes of some no good street punks. A man dressed in torn up red Adidas hoodie grabbed me from behind, while another slimy overweight salaryman grinned at me as he studied my luscious curves. Struggling, I attempted to stomp on the foot of the hooded thug, but he roughly attempted to keep me as stick straight in his arms as he could. It was no use. I felt like I was a goner.

"Some help me!" I sobbed. "Anyone, please, call the police!" The hoodlums looked at me, laughing. "Who'd want to save a pathetic petite gaijin girl like yourself?" grunted the larger man. "Do you not realize what a rarity you are in these parts?" I shook my head. I tried to scream, but a hand was forced over my mouth. It was then that our eyes met, along with a crowd of others, who were anticipating a rumble.

"Let the woman go," Kazuma growled. "Or I'll send you back to hell."

The man in the hoodie giggled, "Awww, did we take your piece of ass, douchebag?"

"I said, let the women go."

And just like that it happened. Kazuma was a whirlwind in the dark. Somewhere in a span of seconds the hood gangster let go of me, and when I turned to my right to glance at him, his face was covered in blood. When I looked to my left I could see the fat salaryman begging Kazuma for his life, through he wasn't successful at making deal. Kazuma smirked at the sight of the trembling businessman. Grabbing him by the collar of his shirt, the Dragon of Dojima swiftly kneed him in the stomach. The man staggered about, whining in pain. The fat man ducked down holding his stomach and it was then that Kazuma used this free opportunity to roundhouse kick the man in the face. He kicked him so hard that the man's mouth sputtered with blood, and as I looked at his face soaked in red, I noticed one of his front teeth had been missing.

The two thugs lay on the ground riving in pain while the crowd disassemble. It was then that the man of dreams approached me, and I could feel my knees weaken with each step he took.

"Are you all right, miss?" Kazuma inquired. Hazily, I nodded. With a few mmmms and ahhhhs, I finally regained my senses. "Could you tell me your name?" I endearingly asked. I bat my eyes in hopes that my hero would give me a name that I could then call him by.

Kazuma looked at me, stunned. "Uh... my name isn't important. In fact, I'm in a hurry." A hurry? Where could this well dress man be going if he was in such a dang hurry? "Unfortunately, I wish I had a moment to chat. You are a super... lady... caio!" And with that, the man of my dreams left me broken and alone. However, I refused to give up. I was going to find out why this man intrigued me so.

It was obvious that Kazuma had a secret. Was he a wealthy business man? Possibly an escort? There's no way a man of that babetitude couldn't be someone of wealth and fortune. I watched Kazuma walk toward the Millennium Tower, following as swiftly as a ninja behind him. He constantly kept looking over his shoulder, as though he knew someone was watching him. Darting through the backdoors, I watched through the thick glass windows as he punched, kicked and slammed men dressed in black suits as he quickly made his way to the top.

It was clear that I couldn't leave this situation open-ended. I had to know the beautiful truth about him. As I followed Kazuma into the tower, I saw men in black suits curled up on the floor. It would seem that Kazuma spilled more unnecessary blood. Running up the flights of stairs, I finally had caught up to him. Out of breath, I placed my hands on my knees looking down at the blood-stained floors. He's a machine I thought. It was then that as I looked at the floor, that I saw a pair of shoes in front of me. I turned my head to look up, and there was the Dragon of Dojima gazing his beautiful black eyes at me.

"What are you doing here?" he snarled. "You shouldn't be here."

"I had to follow you. I never…got the chance to thank you for saving me back there."

"You fool! Do you not realize where you are? Any member of the Tojo family could just appear and kill you for trespassing."

"Who are the Tojo family?"

"That's none of your concern." Kazuma's eyes changed from narrowed to sincere. "Look, I'm on a mission, and the last thing I need is an innocent person dying because of me."

I snorted. "Oh I'm not that innocent. But thanks for noticing!"

Kazuma's face faulted. "That's not what I meant."

Grinning, I waved my hand. "Suuuuuure you did." It was then that Kazuma growled at me again. "You look like a child. How old are you?"

Running my fingers through my long brown curls, I smiled. "Well, I'm seventeen." That’s right. Seventeen. I couldn't be older than that, what with my pert lips and Playboy bunny body.

"You're still a child!" Sighing, Kazuma's black eyes stared at me directly. It was though his eyes were looking deep into my striking soul. They seemed sensitive and warm, like hot dishes after they come out of a dishwasher. "Look, I won't ask you again. Please leave, because if you don't, we could die." With those words I stood my ground. "Sir, do you not realize that we are meant to be? I knew this day would come, you are… you are the man in my dreams. I believe I know what you are."

"Say it then. Out loud, say it!"

I whispered, "You're a gangster."

"Are you terrified of me? I could murder you with grappling techniques."

"No."

For a brief moment, Kazuma and I kept staring longingly into each other's eyes. What felt like hours, was merely a few minutes, but I knew that this gangster had the keys to my heart, and in someway he was going to make me come alive.

It was then that we saw a halo of lights from outside. A large helicopter spotlight latched onto Kazuma and I as we stood beside one another stunned. From the inside of metal beast, a fat tattooed yakuza stood, machine gun in hand, laughing at the top of his lungs. "Kiryu, I will finally exact my revenge on you!" and with that pick up line, thousands of bullets broke the glass windows of the top floor of the Millennium Tower. Kazuma leapt in an attempt to knock me to the ground for safety, but it was too late. Bullets continued to rain down, and it was then that I could feel something pouring out from my stomach. I could no long hear the laughter of the tattooed yakuza creep, or the bullets, or the voice of my beloved gangster fella. With the last of my strength, I smiled at my yakuza-lover, my lips parting ever so slightly. "We were meant to be. We were meant to..."

Darkness enveloped me. I could no longer see a semblance of light. We were meant to be, we were meant to be together.

And so soon did it quickly begin, did this vision of love come quietly to a close.
