[01/07/2004]   In case anyone was wondering why the Points of View update wasn't at its regularly scheduled time, I found out that my current job ends as of this Sunday thanks to downsizing. This has been all too common over the last few years, but it is a first for me to have such a desirable job (at least for the time being) get snipped with very short notice. I'll manage, and the last two days have been spent working with friends and contacts to see about new positions.

All complaints aside, it'll give me a chance to dig into the backlog a little more. Not only that, I also received an email detailing a major accomplishment by yet another one of our reader reviewers. However, I'll leave that for another update…just because.
