[09/16/2002]   If life were like an RPG, I'd wish we could have Fenix Downs. Odd spelling and all, since I've been on a FFVI multiplayer kick. Work has been very hectic because there have been recent deaths...and illnesses. I'm just recovering from a bad flu I came down with about two weeks ago. I suppose this is my body's way of telling me to get the flu shot this year, right?

I'm happy to say I've been pretty blown away by the amount of reviews we've been getting despite a very slow release schedule. Retroviews are always welcome. After just finishing up Paper Mario, I'm tempted to put out a little reward of some kind for the first N64 retroview we receive. Maybe a blurb in an update or...Yes, I know. The first person to submit and have an N64 review posted/accepted will cohost a Q&A day sometime next month with me. In the event of a tie, the person who submits the greater number of N64 reviews will net the spot. So maybe you should write two =^^=.

(Amish concurs...) - Guest hosting? Nice - and it's an appropriate prize for people who use their N64 consoles for something other than a Super Smash machine. (Quickly dons a flame-retardant suit) Seriously, this HTML grunt work can be exhausting, but at least we CAN do HTML grunt work. Now for the fall blitz, beginning this week. Let's see what happens.

 Submission Booboos -  Spoiler Alert?

We have a general no-tolerance rule for spoilers in a review. In the end, they aren't needed to tell how good graphics are, and examples of why the story draws a player in don't need to hinge upon specifics; how it draws someone in rather than the specific thing that drew you in can often make your review a more enjoyable read, as it can be applied to anyone.

 Today's Reviews

Amish: Last week I mentioned that recreating the Silver page was unnecessary because Phillipe Richer only had a grand total of 9 reviews. Well, guess who ate their own words. Congratulations are in order for Phillipe, as he obtains Silver status in this update - with the Shenmue titles no less. In addition, our most prolific reader, Red Raven, turns in his opinion of one of the most talked-about RPGs for the Game Boy Advance. Check out his comments!
