[06/16/00] - Well, I'm back home now. I loved my trip and was really sad to leave, as I was really enjoying myself. On the good side, I did get to check out U of W, which I'm seriously contemplating attending.
But enough about me, and more on reviews. I am contemplating a showcase-type section to both reward repeat reviewers as well as give incentive to others who are unsure of how to write or what to write or to give them that extra burst of courage. The reviewer would have a small RPG-related profile as well as a small showcase of their reviews. There would be 3 different levels (bronze-5 reviews, silver-10 reviews, gold-15 reviews) Comments on this idea wanted! You came email me at Paws or Points of View with your thoughts! Gimme feedback! :)
UPDATE NOTICE! Please note, and reread, both the PsoV FAQ and Submission Guidelines. Both have changed. I'd especially recommend the Submission Guidelines, as I've added some legal mumbo-jumbo you'll want to know before submitting. Next, the review template has an added feature: a zipped version, for easy downloading and using. The template has been changed, so if you have an older copy, get this one :)
Review Writing BooBoos

Overanxious authors, sheesh ;) Seriously, please *don't* email me (especially not paws@rpgamer.com) to ask on the status of your review 3 days after you submit. Rule of thumb: wait *2* updates. If you still haven't heard from me, *then* email me with the original message (if you still have it), as well as the file again. But be patient, I have lots of reviews to read as well as background HTML projects and daily stuff to do, so be patient with me ;)
Lack of Screens
I can completely understand those that choose not to do their own HTML either because they don't feel comfortable or don't have the time (I mean, hey, this is my job, lemme do it ;), but when you don't include images, it does make the work a little harder as I have to do your review several days in advance or delay an update (wait until I have confirmation), as for selection and placement of screens. The choice is always entirely up to you how much to include, but it would be a great help to include the addy if the images are on RPGamer, or to zip them up if they are your own.
