Square Enix has decided that it will go into the figure-making business. "Final Fantasy Trading Arts: Volume 1", the name of Square Enix's first collectable figure series, will contain seven different Final Fantasy characters, to be sold for 500 yen apiece. Each package will contain a random figure, leaving the buyer to identify it after the purchase. Characters in the figure series include: Final Fantasy VII's Cloud Strife and Sephiroth; Final Fantasy VIII's Rinoa Heartilly; Final Fantasy IX's Vivi Ornitier; Final Fantasy X's Yuna and Lulu; and another, unannounced character from a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 Final Fantasy game. The figures should be received by Japanese retailers at the end of March 2004.
