[10/12/2008] It's that time of year again! Yes, if you're a Canadian (and you should be, we are the best), you're probably looking forward to tonight's Thanksgiving Day feast. Last year I introduced you all to the Pridgeybo, and this year I decided to fill out the RPG dinner with all the fixin's.
To start things off, due to the traditional deep-fry method of cooking the Pridgeybo (let's face it, you're not gonna be slow-roasting something that big), a gravy substitute needs to be produced, and I've found that mixing one from Hyrulian fairy soup stock seems to go best with the combination of meats, although a nice PokéEgg béarnaise sauce can also be quite delicious. If you opt for the sauce, be sure to keep the PokéEggs in a stationary container before use, or you may wind up with some unwanted Pokémon running around.
Vegetables are important, and I suggest as a main sidedish some garlic-mashed Mandragoras. When preparing the Mandragoras, be sure to remove the stalks, legs, and faces before mashing. A nice compliment to this are pan-fried red and green mushrooms and a gysahl green salad with Lon Lon Ranch dressing. And of course, no Thanksgiving Day meal is complete without the traditional, homemade Cranberry Gel.
For dessert, an assortment of elemental Flans. Remember, if you're going to attempt to cook this meal, make sure your Cooking specialty is at least level seven and you have the Taste talent.
Enjoy the reviews, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
