With the next-generation consoles set to go online this fall, it is no surprise that some of the hottest online PC titles are making the transition to the consoles. So, it came as little surprise then that LucasArts announced their highly anticipated Star Wars Galaxies to both the Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox.

Star Wars Galaxies for Xbox will utilize Microsoft's new Xbox Live service, and will incorporate a full voice system, with no keyboard, like all Xbox Live games. This also means that RPGamers will only have to pay for the Xbox Live service and the game to play, and will not have to deal with an additional monthly charge. There is no announced payment plan for Star Wars Galaxies on PlayStation 2 at this time.
