Square is planning an extravagant fan day in preparation for the launch of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Fans in the San Francisco region should definitely check out this event, as it will include a variety of activities, including a costume contest, a charity auction(to benefit the Academy of Art College in San Francisco) for rare Final Fantasy memorambilia, and a raffle and contest. Prizes for the raffle include T-shirts, lunchboxes, skateboards and posters, and 125 winners will also get free passes to see a special preview screening of the movie.

Fans who attend the day, in addition to these evens, will also get to play the recently released Final Fantasy Chronicles, the compilation that includes Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. Additionally, a demo of Final Fantasy X will be presented at various points throughout the evening.
