Japanese gaming site Quiter has reported that Square/Enix will be delaying the release of
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for an undisclosed period of time. The reason for the delay is apparently
an unsatisfactory battle system which is not up to the quality standards of Square/Enix. Crystal Chronicles was orginally
slated to be released for the GameCube in Japan during the Spring of 2003 and would have been Square/Enix's first effort
for the system to date.
As of yet, a new release timeframe for the game has not been set. However, it was stated that much of the battle
system might be reworked, to the point of contradicting previous news and articles about it, which could take a
significant period of time. RPGamer will keep you updated as its development progresses.
