All good things must come to an end, and that time has come for my curatorship of Sound Test. I have passed the crown to someone who has shown great promise. His suggestions for the column are simply outstanding and will reinvent the way RPGamers experience their video game music remixes. So who is it? Daryl Banner? GDawgTUK? Kain Vinosec? The winner of "The Grand Audition 2009" who hasn't contacted me nor submitted a single mix in two years? None of the above, my dearest readers. The honor goes to a relatively new face in RPGamer. It is none other than previewer and hockey player extraordinaire SeverinMira.
Severin plans to take the musical experience to new heights by posting YouTube videos of interpretative ice figure skating routines to the tune of the featured remixes. Severin actually plays the non-ice version of hockey, but so honored was he by my decision (along with his fascination with "Skating with the Stars") that he decided to learn ice skating. He also managed to convince his entire squad to take lessons. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, they weren't able to create a video for this week's piece. He and his fellow sportsmen found frog-like leaps somewhat difficult to execute on ice skates while brandishing hockey sticks.
Well, I wish Severin the best of luck. I've had a terrific time, and I hope you guys felt the same. Worry not, for I will continue to support Sound Test by submitting remixes. Well, then, until next time, whenever that is.
