Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Return to Paradise
Artist's Comments:An orchestral arrangement of the Crystal theme from A Link to the Past, aka "Zelda's Lullabye" in later games.  I used a different time signature(for most of the song), I changed a few notes in places, and, like all the other songs in the contest, it has a very different feel from the original.  Enjoy!

Final Fantasy X - Zanarky
Artist's Comments:I has just been sent a WIP of a song by someone, and they were remixing the Zanarkand theme. This reminded me of how awesome the song was and how I really needed to remix it. Originally, I had wanted to take a battle theme and make a nice down to earth piano solo out of it, as is my calling. But then after doing a couple days of random improv on this theme, I decided to give it a try. It starts out as almost an "Oops, I forgot about the theme," and then abruptly turns into phatbeetzville and becomes very animated. I hope you enjoy it.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Zelda's Nightmare
Artist's Comments: What I wanted to capture for my entry ino the Splendid Performance finals was an element of surprise alongside with twisting the nature of the chosen source material.  The best way I could do that was take a light and reflective maidenly theme like Zelda's Lullaby and transform it in more ways than one including a minor key, a moodier edge than the original and a future-ish feel in the performance.  I sincerely hope you enjoy it :)

Kingdom Hearts - A Hearts Resolve
Artist's Comments:Traverse town's theme has always stuck in my head ever since I first played Kingdom Hearts.  It's catchy, peaceful, and you spend a LOT of time in the town just trying to figure out what the heck to do at first!  The original is very peaceful, ballad-like and waltzy as well.  I've taken that peaceful theme and turned it into a rockin' battle theme.  Mixing this was a pain in the butt, and I had to actually take out some tracks in the longrun because they were fighting too much with the other tracks around them.  A wise, wise man once told me "The best tracks in a song are often the muted ones."

> A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a song speaks novels.

Screams have filled my life the last few days. Screams of anger because of the recent email situation, screams of frustration because of a heavy school load, and lastly the screams of a 17 year old lead singer of a hardcore band that I am recording for my final project in my sound engineering lab.

So here is the deal with Sound Test right now. Because of the email situations, both my email being stolen by ninja and the total collapse of the @rpgamer over the weekend, I was unable to have the contest results done for today. Its amazing how badly losing an email address for a few days can completely cripple you. So the deal is that the results will receive their own extra special update on Saturday night. The competition is tight, and it will be interesting to see a winner declared.

Having said that, I leave you with the above final round entries, which is everything I managed to receive before the email went down, which I am just finding out is back up. Seeing as there are two unaccounted for entries, they might be in my inbox right now, I will have to look, and you will have to wait until Saturday to find out.
