KNOCKOUT STAGE

Though some effort has been made to mitgate villains whose names are themselves massive spoilers, as this feature/contest revolves around villains and other antagonists, readers should expect major spoilers for various games throughout.

When we go into the knockout stage sixteen more villains will have been eliminated. The last eight then head into a straight knockout for the title of Best?... Worst?... Villainous?... The Winner.

Each match in the quarter-final has five points up for grabs. Three of these points come from individual staff members' votes, with the other two coming from the on-site reader votes. With reader votes these two points will assigned to be winner provided they earn at least 52% of the vote. If neither villain attains 52% or higher, then the two reader points will be split between them.

The semi-finals have seven points up for grabs. four of these points come from individual staff members' votes, with the other three coming from the on-site reader votes. The reader points will be assigned based on the percentage of votes.

In the final there are nine points up for grabs. Five of these will comes from the staff vote (each staff member assigning one point). With the four readers points assigned as follows based on the RPGamer.com home page poll: 0-33% - Zero points, 33-48% - One point, 48-52% - Two points, 52-67% - Three points, 67-100% - Four points.
