Sega's Phantasy Star Collection for the Game Boy Advance will consist of ports of the Sega Master System original, Phantasy Star, and the first two Genesis sequels, Phantasy Star II and III. The game was playable at this year's E3, but only in very limited form. Phantasy Star Collection was reported as only 20% complete, and, as such, the only playable game was Phantasy Star II.

This version of Phantasy Star II seemed to be a perfect, straight port, graphically and otherwise. The graphics are identical to the Genesis version. I was a bit disappointed that the game didn't receive any graphical improvements, but purists should be happy to find an untouched version of an old favorite. Even though they weren't shown and no screenshots have been released, the ports of the other two games will most likely remain identical to their original counterparts.
