Mega Man Battle Network 2 Impression

Mega Man lives on, and on and on. Capcom continues to bring new life to their blue hero. Following the success of their first Mega Man RPG, Capcom brings the sequel, Mega Man Battle Network 2.

Mega Man Battle Network 2 follows the story of a boy named Lan who has to save the world's computers from viruses. When he runs his "anti-virus" program, Lan actually controls Mega Man in cyberspace, where viruses appear as monsters.

The graphics are vibrant and have a good amount of contrast, which is important on the Game Boy Advance's screen. The battle system is very easy to pick up, as the game basically walks Lan through his "homework" at the start of the game. After finishing the homework, there isn't much more help in the game. I didn't see a way to learn how to use a special chip, so I had to resort to trial and error.

I have never been a fan of the Mega Man games, but this game was instantly enjoyable. I plan to pick it up on the June 4th, and so should you.
