THQ Nordic has purchased one hundred percent of the shares of Experiment 101, the company currently developing the open-world action RPG Biomutant. The publisher stated that the acquisition is to further bolster THQ Nordic's own slate of intellectual properties and should not affect the development of the game.

Biomutant is an open-world RPG that combines kung-fu and the post-apocalypse as a players take control of a small, anthropomorphic animal that can be further customized with special mutations and enhancements. The game will have more information revealed about it in 2018 which is also the year it is planned for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
