Last month, Nintendo revealed details about Miitopia, a game coming soon to Nintendo 3DS in Japan where the characters are all Mii avatars. This week, the company released a new eight-minute introduction trailer, viewable below, which gives an overview of the title and its features.

Miitopia is set in the titular realm, where Miis live in peace until the Great Demon King arrives and steals their faces, using them to create monsters. Players take their Miis and those of their allies on a quest to defeat the Great Demon King. All the characters that can be assigned to take the appearance of players' favourite Miis. The game features a turn-based combat system with twelve classes, as well as various aspects from simulation titles such as Tomodachi Life. Miitopia is set to be released in Japan on December 8, 2016, with no announcement given regarding a possible western release.
