Bandai Namco released new media and details for its upcoming strategy RPG Summon Night 6: Lost Borders. The game takes place on the cocoon world of Filujah, where visitors from another world named Lyndbaum have mysteriously appeared. These visitors encounter the game's main protagonists Raj and Amu and investigate what has caused them to become displaced in both time and space.

As in previous games in the series, players choose which of the main protagonists they control. However, Summon Night 6 changes things by having the other protagonist appear in the story regardless of which one is chosen. Players will be able to build their character's relationship with the unselected protagonist and other characters throughout the game through evening conversations. A higher relationship can offer bonuses such as a great chance of a co-op attack.

Six new characters were also revealed. Hayato Shindo and Natsumi Hashimoto both originally come from modern-day Japan and were transported to Lyndbaum first before arriving in Filujah against their will, while Aya Higuchi is unique amongst those from Lyndbaum in that she willingly chose to come to the cocoon world. These three are joined by three summoners — Sol Servolt, Claret Servolt, and Cassis Servolt — all of whom have lost their magical powers after coming to Filujah.

Summon Night 6: Lost Borders is due to be released in Japan in Spring 2016. The game will be available for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
