ZeniMax Online Studios has posted a new update detailing the current state and upcoming plans for The Elder Scrolls Online. Included in the post were details about the title's sixth major update, and the status of the game's console versions.

The game's next major update is currently scheduled for January 2015, and is set to include two significant additions: the Champion System and the Justice System. The Champion System is a revamp of the game's post-level 50 progression, and allows players to spend Champion Points in the constellations of their choice. The Justice System adds in a number of aspects that will be familiar to those who have played the single-player Elder Scrolls titles, with players able to steal from or kill NPCs but be at the potential mercy of justice meted out by guards. PvP elements are planned to be added to the Justice System at a later point.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are still in development, with the company planning to release more information once the new Champion and Justice Systems are in place. These versions have received a UI overhaul compared to the PC version, with voice-chat and full integration with Xbox Live and PlayStation Network also present.
