Square Enix has put up a translated video of Final Fantasy Type-0 and Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata's TGS presentation. The fifty-minute presentation begins with talk Type-0 HD and the Vita release of Final Fantasy Agito+, but quickly moves on to an extended discussion about XV.
Tabata hoped to address early concerns that XV's combat would be too automated by saying that combat would be more action-oriented than previous Final Fantasy games, with each weapon having a dedicated attack and skill button. Both attacking and blocking functions can be performed by holding their respective buttons, but blocking consumes MP so it cannot be abused indefinitely. The game will also feature a jump button, a first for a main entry Final Fantasy title.
