While the crossover game between The Legend of Zelda and Dynasty Warriors, Hyrule Warriors (tentative title), may be the most interesting news to come out of today's earlier Nintendo Direct, there were two other pieces that will interest RPGamers. First off, it was announced that North Americans will be able to download a demo of Bravely Default from the 3DS eShop starting on January 2, 2014. This demo will be a side story that is not included in the main game. Item packs found in the demo will carry over to the full version of the game, as well as up to 20 StreetPass tags and any 3DS friends registered with the game.

The use of Sleep Points, or SP was also explained. These points are generated in game by putting the 3DS into sleep mode and players can have up to three SP at any time. SP can be used during battle to give players a free turn to perform powerful attacks, revive allies, heal, and exchange currently equipped items for stronger ones. Completely optional SP potions can be bought from the eShop to refill points without having to wait. A trailer for the demo can be watched below.

The Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter apps for Pokémon X and Y were also covered. Though most of the information is already known, Nintendo did reveal that players who download Pokémon Bank before September 30, 2014 will be given a free Celebi. This legendary Grass/Psychic Pokémon is usually unobtainable by normal means.

Today's Nintendo Direct can be viewed below. The Pokémon Bank information begins at 10:22 and Bravely Default at 12:16.
