After teasing a PSP game that started with the letter "G," Atlus has now announced that Gungnir will be coming to North America on June 12, 2012. This strategy RPG developed by Sting will be available both as a UMD or on the PlayStation Network, useful for future Vita owners.

Gungnir takes place in a land plagued by economic injustice, in which a rebel group comes into custody of an important noblewoman and a mighty spear. Having seriously drawn the attention of the oppressive government, this group must battle for a better future. Featuring classic turn-based strategy battles, the game allows players to string fast attacks in front of slower cued-up ones, giving the system strategic depth.

For gamers who were interested in a different "G" game, never fear. Atlus has noted that there will be a second announcement of a game that begins with the vaunted letter. While letting one's excitement grow over the impending announcement, please enjoy this lovely Gungnir box art:
