AQ Interactive has announced that the Artoon-developed Xbox 360 RPG, Cry On has been canceled. The title was originally announced shortly before Christmas in 2005, and was scheduled to be developed by another AQ Interactive company, Cavia, before being taken over by Artoon.
The game featured character art from Kimihiko Fujisaka, who had worked on the Drakengard series, planning by Mistwalker, and music from Nobuo Uematsu. It is unknown why the game was canceled, but Mistwalker has already announced Blue Dragon: Behemoth of the Otherworld for the Nintendo DS, so the company is still busy. In the official site's most recent update, Hironobu Sakaguchi also mentioned that they're working on a game that they won't be embarrassed by calling it "next-gen."
