Penny Arcade fans will soon have another game to play in the webcomic-inspired episodic RPG series. On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode Two has gone gold and will be priced at 1200 Microsoft points on XBLA, 14.95 for the PC, Mac, and Linux. This price is five dollars cheaper than the first episode, On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness: Episode One, was released at. Pricing for the PS3 version is not available yet, but expect it to be similar.
According to Hothead CEO, Vlad Ceraldi, Episode Two has been improved and enhanced directly because of fan feedback from Episode One. Players will return to 1920s New Arcadia and will continue their experience with Gabe and Tycho of the Startling Developments Detective Agency from Episode One. Mike Krahulik, Jerry Holkins, and Hothead Games have created many new characters for Episode Two, while some webcomic strip favorites will make new appearances as well. Episode Two will feature bigger enemies to fight, new areas to explore, and more puzzles to solve. The game will also add many more character customization options, and new difficulty settings. Episode Two has been rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB. A concrete release date should be revealed soon.
