The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Soundtrack to Feature Award Winning Composer

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Bethesda Game Studios today announced that the Soundtrack for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be composed by award-winning composer Jeremy Soule. Soule has previously worked on the soundtracks for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, for which he received many industry awards including Best Music and Sound Effects, Game Soundtrack of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Original Composition, and has also worked on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Secret of Evermore.

Other noteworthy accolades include a British Academy of Film and Television Award (BAFTA) in the category of Best Score - Game Music for his work on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and two nominations for Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition from the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences for his work on Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Soule was also nominated for a BAFTA for his work on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Soule is also involved with Direct Song, a game music expansion service that allows gamers to add more official music to their games. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will be available on the Xbox 360 and PC when it is released by the end of the year.
