Microsoft has announced that the Xbox 360 beta version of Square Enix's Final Fantasy XI will be released with the limited edition bundle of the console at its Japanese launch. Final Fantasy XI has previously been released for the PlayStation 2 and for PCs, but is seeing an Xbox 360 release as part of Square Enix's strategy to diversify its platform support.
The beta will be released in limited quantities on December 10, the same day the limited edition 360 hits retailer shelves. Also included with the console will be a hard drive, wireless controller, high definition cables, and more, along with a month's subscription to Xbox Live's gold membership. The whole package, plus the beta release of Final Fantasy XI, will cost 39,795 yen.
