One of the world's top game publishers, Ubisoft, has annonced that Shadowbane: The Rise of Chaos has gone gold. The game is an expansion pack for the popular MMORPG Shadowbane for the PC. It is set for a nationwide release on December 9 at the manufacturer's suggested retail price of $19.99 USD.
The expansion pack will offer several new elements to the Shadowbane world. A new race has been added, the Nephilim, which is a hybrid of a man and a demon that was spawned from the forces of darkness. Also included are new character classes, disciplines, an additional character slot, new macro zones, and new evironmental elements such as tornados, acid rain, and blood rain.
Shadowbane: The Rise of Chaos will be rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB. The game is being developed by Wolpack Studios, which is based in Austin, Texas, and operated and supported by Ubisoft's online gaming division, ubi.com.
