To celebrate the upcoming release of Breath of Fire II, Capcom is giving budding artists everywhere a chance to win some Breath of Fire related prizes, at least in Japan. They are holding a Breath of Fire artwork contest, with wonderful cash and prizes (well, prizes at least.)

Until the end of November, Capcom invites fan artists to send in pictures of characters from Breath of Fire or Breath of Fire II, along with a description of the artwork and the process by which it was created. Winners will be decided by the Breath of Fire II development team, and there will be three prize levels:

• Grand Prize (one person): The grand prize winnder will recieve a drawing by the developer of the character depicted in winning artwork. They will also receive a copy of Breath of Fire II, a Breath of Fire II poster, and Breath of Fire II postcards (which are unavailable anywhere else.)
• Second Prize (ten people): The second prizes consist of a copy of Breath of Fire II, a poster, and postcards.
• Third Prize (twenty people): The third prizes are Breath of Fire II posters and postcards.

Artists wanting to enter must have their entries in by the end of November, and winners will be announced in January. It is unclear whether non-Japanese entries are allowed, but those interested should hop over to Capcom's Japanese website for details.
