Soon, children, the WonderSwan Color will have a new data storage medium to call its very own. As yet unnamed, the new devices will be compatible with the industry standard used by Smart Media, Memory Sticks, and SD Cards. Interestingly, the memory devices will replace cartridges rather than supplementing them, allowing users to download games from the internet.

Additionally, the media will allow the WonderSwan Color to function as a personal data assistant, able to send and receive data to and from other units.
