London-based media market publication MCV is reporting that well-known game and software publisher Infogrames has secured a three-year publishing deal with Square. The three-year deal would give Infogrames the right to publish Square's titles in Europe. The recent collapse of Crave/SVG, Square's former European publisher, has caused quite a stir as many in the industry predicted who would take the place of Crave. MCV believes that the deal will officially be announced later in the week.

If true, this is great news for European RPG fans, who have missed out on some of Square's more recent titles such as Chrono Cross. Among the key titles mentioned in the MCV article as titles that Infogrames would be publishing were Vagrant Story, Parasite Eve II, and Final Fantasy IX.
