THQ has announced that its Nintendo 64 RPG, Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage, has been delayed. The game is now expected to hit shelves around the beginning of next year, rather than at the end of this year as originally planned.

Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage is a new RPG in development at THQ. However, the team working on Aidyn Chronicles is a different team than the creators of THQ's previous N64 RPG, Quest 64. Aidyn Chronicles is more of a traditional RPG than previous N64 titles such as Zelda: Ocarina of Time and the tactical RPG Ogre Battle 64, and as such, is likely to be well-received in the RPG-starved N64 market.
