NIS America released a new brief trailer for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, focusing on the series mainstay protagonist Adol Christin. The publisher also announced that Adol DLC packs will be available for free on all platforms during the game's first week after launch. The DLC provides two costumes for Adol as well as a survival kit featuring a ring, a bottle, and ten pieces of iron ore.

Ys VIII is the latest mainline title in Nihon Falcom's long-running series, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The game is set to be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC in North America on September 12, 2017, and in Europe on September 15, 2017.
