Japanese developer Gust has announced the latest title in the long-running Atelier series. Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting is the third game in the Mysterious sub-series following Atelier Sophie and Atelier Firis, and stars twin sisters Lydie and Soeur Marlen. A teaser website can be visited now, with the full site to be launched on August 21, 2017. There is no news yet regarding a western release.

Lydie and Soeur run a small atelier in the capital of the Adlett Kingdom. The pair discover a painting that has a mysterious other world within it that the two can explore. Both characters will be played at the same time, and the combat system will involve six party members grouped into three pairs.

Atelier Lydie & Soeur is being developed for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Nintendo Switch. The game is planned for launch in Japan this winter.
