Bungie released a new trailer for Destiny 2 ahead of the game's open beta on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month. The video gives an indication of what will be available in the open beta, namely the opening of the story campaign, a three-player cooperative Strike mission, and two multiplayer modes.

Those who pre-ordered the PlayStation 4 version will be able to access the open beta starting from 1pm EST on July 18, 2017, while those who pre-ordered the Xbox One version will be able to access it starting from 1pm EST on July 19, 2017. Everyone else will be able to access the open beta on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting from 1pm EST on July 21, 2017. The beta will end at 12am EST on July 23, 2017. A PC open beta will be held in late August.

Destiny 2 will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2017, with the PC version set to be released on October 24, 2017. The PC version will be available exclusively through Battle.net.
