Publisher Deck13 and developer Radical Fish released a new update to the Steam Early Access version of CrossCode. In contrast to other updates from the past year, which focused primarily on alterations and additions to the gameplay, the latest update provides new story content. Along with announcing the story update, the publisher and developer provided a new target for the full release of early 2018 as well as a new gameplay trailer, viewable below.

CrossCode is a retro action RPG with a sci-fi story following Lea as she logs into a fictional future MMO named CrossWorlds. The game was originally released on Early Access in May 2015, with the Early Access version currently available on PC, Mac, and Linux at a regular price of $19.99/£14.99/€19.99.
