During last weekend's Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional, an enhanced version of the original game released earlier this year in Japan. The game will be released in Japan for Nintendo 3DS on February 9, 2017, with an announcement trailer watchable below.

Building on top of the original game, Joker 3 Professional adds various new scenarios, with characters and monsters from other Joker titles also appearing. Those with save files from the original game will be able to transfer their monsters over to Professional. No announcement has been regarding western releases for either the original title or the Professional version.
