Cornfox and Bros. has announced via its blog that the sequel to Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas, titled Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, is currently in development. The announcement came with a short video featuring the title screen and the game's main theme, though platforms and a release date were not specified.

The original Oceanhorn was heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda and Oceanhorn 2 seems to follow in that vein. This time players will follow a new hero in a different time period in the world of Arcadia. The game will have a third-person camera, action RPG combat, and a host of new items for use in combat and puzzles. One such item is the Caster, a gun that fires magical projectiles that has a multitude of uses.

Oceanhorn: Monster of the Uncharted Seas initially released on iOS and Android devices in 2013 with a PC version following in 2015. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game are being released on September 7, 2016.
