Independent RPG Legend of Miro has been given the go-ahead for release on Valve's digital Steam platform. The game puts players in control of James Sullivan, a computer programmer for a high-tech security company. James leads a fairly normal life, until one day...he doesn't. Instead, he mysteriously finds himself in the medieval world of Miro, where 16-bit inspired graphics, exploration, turn-based combat, and puzzles are part of everyday life. Surviving will require a mix of completing quests, crafting, and mining resources.
Legend of Miro is closer than one might think, with a release date of August 2016. Further information, as well as a trailer, can be found on the game's Steam store page.
