New media and information has emerged for Square Enix's upcoming Dragon Quest Builders. The new items focus mostly on the game's options for rebuilding the game's town in terms of collecting, creating, and constructing.

Players will first need to go and gather materials for rebuilding the town. These can be found by breaking various bits of terrain and by defeating monsters. Depending on the materials and construction requirements, materials can then be used directly to create buildings or to create new items for use in the process.

Buildings do not need to be designed from scratch. Blueprints provide players with an outline to follow to create buildings, but players are free to design buildings as they see fit. Monsters from throughout the Dragon Quest series will appear around the field. Under the control of the Dragonlord, they will sometime launch raids on the burgeoning town to prevent its reconstruction.

Dragon Quest Builders is due to be released in Japan on January 28, 2016. The game will be released in the country for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. There has been no announcement regarding a western release for the game at this time.
