Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, the remake released for PC in 2012 and later for iOS, Mac, Android, and Linux, is getting an expansion. Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear looks to cover events taking place between the first game and its sequel, Baldur's Gate II, which also received an Enhanced Edition remake.
Siege of Dragonspear is said to offer a new 25-hour campaign that takes place immediately following the events of the original story, where a crusading army marches on the Sword Coast led by the mysterious Shining Lady. The expansion includes new locations as well as four new potential companions — the archer Captain Schael Corwin, the skald Voghiln the Vast, the goblin M'Khiin Grubdoubler, and the gnome Glint Gardnersonson. Siege of Dragonspear will be released first on PC, Mac, and Linux on an as yet unspecified date, with an iOS and Android release coming after. RPGamers can find more information on its official site.
