1C Company has announced that the latest game in the King's Bounty series, King's Bounty: Dark Side, will release for PC on August 14, 2014. The game will be available on Steam in two different flavours, a standard edition for $24.99/€17.99/£15.99 or a Premium Edition for $29.99/€21.99/£18.99. The Premium Edition includes a Clot of Darkness amulet that provides money and experience bonuses, two extra locations, a new units, and additional quests. The game is currently available through Steam's Early Access program, with all participants automatically upgraded to the Premium Edition.

King's Bounty: Dark Side gives players the opportunity to play as usually antagonist races. Players can select from an Orc warrior, a healing Demoness, or a magic-using Vampire for their main hero in a quest against the forces of elves and men.
