Capcom has officially announced that the 3DS title Mega Man Legend 3 and its Prototype Version have been cancelled. Reported on the Capcom Unity Blog, it states that the project has been discontinued.

According to Capcom Unity certain criteria had not been met on the project based on the input placed from different sectors of the company. Capcom felt that it could not competently release the game under these circumstances. At this time, Capcom has no plans to revive the project and has listed a Q&A over at Capcom Unity in relation to what will happen to Mega Man Legend 3 with the announced cancellation.
