Earth Eternal

In the ever-growing competitive market of Free To Play titles, browser games are seeking to tap a finite market of players. It should come as no surprise that not all games can achieve lasting success, but it did come as a shock to the game's community when Earth Eternal announced the closing of parent company Sparkplay Media, along with its game, for the foreseeable future.

CEO Matt Mihaly said in a release to the EE members, "What does this mean for Earth Eternal? The answer is that it’s hard to tell. We’re putting it up for auction today and are reasonably confident that someone will buy it and keep it running. There is, however, the chance that nobody will want to take on the cost of running it. If that happens, Earth Eternal will go down when our internet and hosting provider pulls the plug for non-payment. It’s hard to tell when that could happen, but it’ll certainly be here at least another week, at minimum."

The final two members of the Sparkplay team, including Mr. Mihaly, hope to have additional news for paying users and loyal members by Friday, August 13th. In the meantime, credits are no longer available for acquisition, so all non-permanent cash shop items are free to use until the game goes offline.
